You may have seen my previous posts regarding The Great Depression. More millionaires were created during those harshest times in modern history than at any other time!
Why? How?
I recently wrote on my Twitter account, ( www.Twitter.com/TomJustin ) imagine what they could have done in the Great Depression if they’d had today’s technology. Seriously, just imagine it!
Is this a tough economy? For the true believers, yes.
Those who believe that what is true for the masses must also be true for them. They are the 95 percenters who strive for average. Nothing wrong with them, they are the backbone of the world.
It’s the 5 percenters who create jobs, money, opportunities, share their knowledge and help advance others. You are either in this group or ready to step into it right now.
What previously “comfortable” people discover is that they must now innovate by necessity. Some minds are dulled when they have just enough. But when challenges emerge, some begin finding new ways to either maintain their status quo or even to thrive.
Forbes Magazine recently projected that 79 million people will be starting their own home businesses in the next couple of years. This should have great meaning for all of us.
It’s a growing market to pay attention to. Whether you are starting your own, building it bigger (or wanting to) or supplying expertise to other entrepreneurs.
In the ‘30s, those with few resources had to either scratch out a living, stand in soup lines or both. Or, they began solving their most pressing problem; how to survive. Some, because of having to think differently surprised even themselves by actually thriving in a negative economy.
This is true today. It is happening right now. You, by virtue of reading this far, being on this list, thinking about improvement, or taking forward action, are in the potential-to-thrive category.
I heard a quote the other day, “First do what is necessary, then what is possible, from there you can create miracles.”
Wow! Look at that sequence. In other words, survive first. But the biggie is “what is possible.” What is possible?
You’ve probably heard it all, positive thinking, “The Secret,” “Think And Grow Rich,” “The Attractor Factor,” manifestation techniques, etc.
All of these are great. But still, most people find it difficult to believe what is possible for them. It’s so broad. So many choices, methods, techniques, books, videos . . . ahhhhhhhhhhh!
To thrive for some people would seem miraculous. I encourage those people to erase that mindset or at least, and this costs nothing, imagine the feeling of absolute success, whatever that means to you. What would that feel like?
Unlike 1929, most of us are on overwhelm with literally too much to choose from. The key is to isolate an interest and follow through.
I’ll be talking more about the opportunities in these down times later. You do have choices. Massive choices. But it’s hard to see through the horrendous smoke that the media and government keeps throwing at us that obscures the possibilities.
Write this note to yourself and keep it where you can see it daily.
What is possible?
Look at all the losers in the world who later became rich, famous, adored, major contributors to our well-being, or are known simply because they overcame tremendous obstacles.
Consider the possibilities. Why not you? Write out the answer to that question but don’t edit yourself.
Your Inner Wizard knows.
We’ll keep on this topic and be exploring the possibilities.
