Los Angeles is the site of the first marketing seminar of its kind. Bridging Heart and Marketing, produced my my colleagues, Dr. Jim Sniechowski and Dr. Judith Sherven, or as they've become known throughout the Internet, Judith and Jim.
I was privileged to speak the first day, but had to follow the incredible Mike Filsaime. Anyone who doesn't know who Mike is, just Google him. He's a leading innovator and Internet marketer.
Even though there are very direct and firm marketing techniques being given, the element of marketing through the "heart," as well as the head is quite a phenomenon. The softer sell element of marketing was especially embraced by professionals such as therapists, coaches, etc. It's becoming a movement.
This unique approach is now being embraced by all kinds of marketers.
What's different about this seminar so far, is the emphasis on a more spiritual approach, but without abandoning sound marketing principles. While there is no manifesto, the feeling I get is that most participants are marketing from a belief system that what they are doing will make an authentic difference in the live of their current and future customers.
Saturday also saw the dynamic speakers, Greg Cesar, a creative adsense specialist and Scott Martineau, the CEO and co-founder of Conscious One, a spiritual based website but that was built with some spectacular and unique traffic and viral techniques, that is never ending. Jeff Herring, the "Article Guy" did a breakout session to a packed in audience, again, showing the power of original content online.
Beth Davis also spoke. She's a true marketing success story and was recently name "Marketer of The Year" by the Kennedy Glaser organization. A real delight with a unique message.
Sunday, will include my new friend, Mike Koenigs, who I think is a creative and powerful strategist and online marketer.
He is the co-founder of the terrific video building site, Traffic Geyser. Anyone can build a video, without even a camera, and in one click of a button, upload to over 30 Internet video sites and dozens of podcast and blog sites as well.Truly amazing. Even I made my first online videos with their system.
He'll be showing some of the latest techniques in video marketing.
Also speaking will be another friend of mine, Wayne Van Dyke. Wayne is the innovator and CEO of the company behind Smart Money Websites. Again, as with Traffic geyser, a high tech product for low tech users.
A lot of unique and innovative paths are available to anyone with a website. whether it's this type of marketing or copywriting, strategies, new technologies, stay tuned to this blog for much more information to come!
